What kind of truck and trailer does Equine Express N.A. Inc. use?
For long hauls and charter we utilize tractor – trailer rigs. Our trailers can be configured as singles, or stall & half or box stalls. Long distant shipments normally require 1.5 stall for normal size horses. Special stalls can be arranged for small horses. Pictures of stalls and our rigs are depicted through out our web page.
Do you provide experienced horsemen on your rigs?
Yes, our rig managers have equine knowledge and OTR experience. We run teams on all of our coast-to-coast trips. Our drivers have a very high satisfactory rating with our customers; refer to our
Testimonial Page. Seventy percent of our customers come from referrals.
Do you layover?
Yes, on coast-to-coast shipments. Horses are laid over at our main terminal prior to starting the second leg of the trip.
Are there any additional fees?
The basic quote includes Hay, water and bedding. There are additional charges for shipping tack trunks, etc. Your dispatcher will be glad to help you with total details when obtaining a quote.
Is the hauler licensed and insured?
Yes, we are licensed with the Federal Highway Safety Authority and the Department of Transportation. Florida Insurance for horse shipments shall be provided by the horse owner. We can assist you with qualified insurers if necessary.
What is required to book my horse?
Booking on line or via telephone reserves you a space on a scheduled trip. Payment may be made by credit cards [Visa or Master Card], money orders, bank wires, certified checks.
We will accept a personal check if backed up by a credit card. Credit cards are not run until 48 hrs prior to pick-up. (Be sure to review our Cancellation Policy). Charters and Special shipments require a 10% deposit to hold the rig.
What is required for my horse?
A current coggins (within 6 months) and a health inspection (within 30 days) are required before your horses will be loaded. Horses shipped from some of the North West States require Brand Inspections, also.
Do you haul any other livestock?
It depends on the type of shipment; call or e-mail for info.
